Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2026
This privacy policy explains how spiritcasino-australia.net collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The independent regulator is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to spiritcasino-australia.net (“we”, “our”, “the site”) and to anyone who visits the site or contacts us. It does not apply to Spirit Casino, the casino brand itself, which is a separate operator with its own privacy policy. If you have a privacy question about your casino account, contact the casino directly — we cannot access your account data.
What We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the site:
- Automatic data: IP address (truncated for analytics), browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location at city level, language preference, timestamp of visit. This is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools.
- Information you provide: if you email us or submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message contents.
- Cookies: see our cookie policy for the full breakdown.
We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act (health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal record, etc.). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the site — understand which pages are useful, which load slowly, which have problems.
- To respond to enquiries you send through the contact form or by email.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or malicious activity targeting the site.
- To comply with our legal obligations under Australian law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Disclosure to Third Parties
We use a small number of third-party services that may process limited data on our behalf:
- Analytics provider — aggregates anonymous traffic data. Configured to truncate IP addresses and not to combine our data with their own services.
- Hosting provider — serves the website. Server logs are retained for 30 days for security and operational reasons.
- Email provider — processes messages sent through the contact form.
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. By using the site you consent to that cross-border transfer, which is permitted under APP 8 where the recipient is in a jurisdiction with substantially similar privacy protections, or where you have given consent.
Your Rights Under the APPs
Under the Australian Privacy Act and the APPs, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12).
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete (APP 13).
- Complain if you believe we have breached the APPs (APP 1.4 and our complaints process below).
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing, such as analytics cookies.
- Be informed of the kinds of information we collect, how we use it, and to whom we disclose it (this policy).
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The site is served over HTTPS with current TLS standards. Email accounts use two-factor authentication. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel.
No system is perfectly secure; if we ever experience a data breach affecting personal information, we will notify affected users and the OAIC in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, or as required by law:
- Server logs: 30 days
- Analytics data: 14 months (aggregated and anonymised)
- Email correspondence: indefinitely unless you request deletion, at which point we delete within 30 days
Children
This site is intended for adults (18+) only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, email us and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will acknowledge within 7 days and aim to resolve within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the OAIC: oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services or applicable law. The “last updated” date at the top of the page shows when the latest version went live. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
